This one works for me when it’s quite small. Postage stamp-sized.

If I tried to create this by painting each block of colour, it would never be as transfixing for me as what happens when I manually manipulate layers and let the software bang against the limits of what it’s supposed to be doing.

Of course for the sliver in the top-right.

Like sunlight through water. One of the more busy ones.

Loses hard fine detail in jpg compression, but especially for lower-right area, like laddered stockings.

Almost the complete visual spectrum.

Especially for the top-left corner breaking the pressure of the colour field.

I’m going to post these without much commenting. It’s getting challenging for me to think of anything to say. I like this one. Alien lagoon underwater.

Another one I’m not sure I like. Sometimes I get excited by the abrupt shifts and bands of colour, other times I think it’s too obvious or busy, or doesn’t go far enough.

Zoomed in really, really tight on a sunset until haze bands resolve themselves.
