Loses hard fine detail in jpg compression, but especially for lower-right area, like laddered stockings.
Almost the complete visual spectrum.
Especially for the top-left corner breaking the pressure of the colour field.
I’m going to post these without much commenting. It’s getting challenging for me to think of anything to say. I like this one. Alien lagoon underwater.
Another one I’m not sure I like. Sometimes I get excited by the abrupt shifts and bands of colour, other times I think it’s too obvious or busy, or doesn’t go far enough.
Zoomed in really, really tight on a sunset until haze bands resolve themselves.
2010’s retro prog-rock cover art. Or Japanese minimalist noise. The grey is where the image ran out, an empty piece of background.
Closing the loop back to medieval art, I’d like to make these as stained glass windows.
I think maybe people who use Photoshop a lot would recognise what’s going on here. I waver on thinking this one works for me and is overly simplistic digital rendering.
Sometimes the ones with saturated colour ping me delightfully. Sometimes they are too easy to see, like the abundance of colour in summer compared to having to draw it out in the desaturated, sub-zero, under-lit winter.
