hanging out in adelaide

The last week I’ve been in Adelaide hanging out at Leigh Warren and Dancers, something that sprung out of crush rehearsals here in October when both Lisa and Gala thought it’d be a good idea for me to come back. So, the last week has been doing the only thing I really get long-lasting satisfaction out of, dancing, being in rehearsals, more dancing, eating, and Friday afternoon at the pub.

Which led to me and Gala jumping on her Vespa and heading west to Henley beach for several hours of lying around on the sand, talking, walking in the tide, eating fish & chips, then back for a night of videos, actually just one that was one of the best of the 80s, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

And more of the same on Saturday, baked beans on toast for breakfast another Vespa ride, this time east up Waterfall Gully for an 8km round trip to Lookout Point that took us something like four hours and plenty of sweating and feeling weak and pathetic (me anyway), and finally hanging out in a park by North Terrace, where oddly enough all the fags and dykes and queers in South Australia had gathered for Pride March.
