we have decided not to die

The absolute best photographs I saw last year, and definitely in the top 10 of all time were We Have Decided Not To Die, from a film directed by Daniel Askill. Crisp, microsecond stills of people caught in the instant they plunged through plate glass windows, possessing an eerie stillness that reminded me of the old stills of atomic bombs caught in the first microscopic burst of their lives, hovering like giant alien globes over the scaffolding that held them.

I got an email from Tim Richardson with lots of new photographs on his website, and there amidst all his other amazing and beautiful prints were stills from We Have Decided Not To Die. Fucking stunning. Check it out.
