thinking in four dimensions

Professor Shirley Mckechnie one of the centres of the Melbourne and Australia dance scene, along with Robin Groves and Catherine Stevens celebrated the launch of Thinking in Four Dimensions – Creativity and Cognition in Contemporary Dance on Tuesday. The e-book is a collaboration between Melbourne University Press and Victorian College of the Arts Centre for Ideas.

Thinking in Four Dimensions is an innovative e-book available as dynamic PDF files you can download to your own computer. This exciting collaboration examines the ability of dance artists to communicate through visual, spatial, kinaesthetic and auditory senses. This is the first book to address the cognitive processes that underpin the creation of new works of contemporary dance.
