The festival, which this year is centring its attention around the most important creative focal points of music production from the Czech Republic, will be showcasing more than 130 live acts spread out over 57 stages until this nineteenth edition closes on August 29th.
The Kampnagel, the emblem of the city of Hamburg’s thriving cultural life, will once again be hosting the SonarSound night on its three regular stages -Main Hall (K6), Lobby and Klub-, presenting a varied programme featuring DJ sets by Raf Rundell, Matthew Herbert as well as live acts by Max de Wardener, Mara Carlyle, Mugison, Jamie Lidell, Dani Siciliano and The Plastic People of the Universe. Many of these recently made an appearance at Sónar 2004 in Barcelona and went down extremely well with audiences.
SonarSound is a glossary of emerging trends and of the timeless hits of the electronic universe. An event that has travelled to London, Lisbon, Neuchatel, Hamburg and Tokyo it will shortly also be landing in Sao Paulo- and which reflects the decentralised state of electronic music.
